How smart are you? Do you know more than your Grandma about world history? Does your little sister know more than your Dad about sports? Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) announced today that the first Wii™ trivia game will be available this holiday. The Wii trivia game levels the playing field for friends and family, combining age-targeted trivia with action-based gestures, making it a truly trans-generational game for the Wii.
“Our Wii family trivia game is a perfect addition to EA’s recently formed Casual Games label,” said Kathy Vrabeck, President, EA Casual Entertainment. “Part of our charter is to offer entertaining and stimulating games for the whole family. The prospect of kids being able to play with friends and parents on a level playing field is exciting.”
“The gesture-based answer methods are a perfect match for the Wii,” said Daniel Hagerty, Producer at EALA. “The experience isn’t just about who can press a button the fastest, it’s about getting the whole family up off the couch to get their minds and their bodies engaged.”
